Jorunna Parva is the scientific name of this creature, though people call them sea bunnies because of their resemblance to bunnies. This is known as a species of sea slugs, or nudibranch. Climate Change’s Impact on the Ocean

  Did you know that climate change is affecting the ocean? It causes serious damages such as temperature increase, sea level rise, and acidification. The oceans are becoming more acidic because they keep absorbing more CO2 from the atmosphere, and at the same time oxygen levels are decreasing. These factors damage the ocean health and marine species, for example the coral reefs. Coral reefs are where most aquatic species live, these are critical marine ecosystems, however they being threatened by a trifecta of acidification. The oceans absorb 90% of the excess heat caused by climate change, and 23% of human-caused CO2 emissions. When seawater heats up or when glaciers melt, the sea levels increases. It’s bad if sea levels increase because it causes stress on coastal ecosystems that provide recreation, protection from storms, and habitat for fish and wildlife. So next time you go to the beach, don’t leave trash on the floor and think about what could happen.

 What is oceanography? Oceanography is the study of every single thing related to the ocean. It can be animals and their habitats, plate tectonics, or ocean circulation. The people in charge of exploring the oceans are the oceanographers, in which they do their assigned work. There are different kinds of oceanographers, those being: Biological Oceanographers They study plants and animals, they are interested in how many they are and how they develop. Chemical Oceanographers They study the composition of seawater, the processes and cycles, and the chemical interactions of the seawater with the atmosphere and seafloor.
